Women in Construction (WIC) To Hold Fourth Annual Conference in DC

Washington, DC, September 28, 2009…The Fourth Annual Women in Construction (WIC) Conference will be held October 7, 2009, at the offices of Howrey LLP in Washington, D.C. The meeting will feature several diverse presentations including one by noted structural engineer, Allyn Kilsheimer, entitled Project Phoenix -- Rebuilding the Pentagon After 9/11.

The WIC conference brings together high-powered business, legal, and community leaders with experience in areas of importance to women working in the construction and design industry.

In addition to Mr. Kilsheimer’s presentation, other topics include: “Women in the Military and Their Strategies for Success” presented by Wilma L. Vaught, Brigadier General, USAF (Ret) and Colonel Debra M. Lewis; “Risk Management for the Construction Business -  Recent Developments and New Trends for 2010”; “Empowering Women Through Financial Security” and “Show Us the Money! Is the Stimulus Working?”
