Co-Chair, Antitrust
Alan Wiseman is Co-Chair of the firm's Antitrust practice group. Mr. Wiseman has extensive litigation and trial experience in all aspects of the firm's antitrust and commercial practice before numerous federal district and appellate courts and administrative agencies, including the US Supreme Court. Also, he has experience in mock trials and mini-trials in alternate dispute resolution proceedings. Mr. Wiseman has represented clients in numerous mergers and acquisitions, antitrust grand jury investigations, as well as cross-border criminal investigations jointly conducted by the US and Canada, and investigations by the European Commission. He has handled legislative matters before the US Congress, including testifying on behalf of the Council on Antitrust Policy of the US Chamber of Commerce.

- In re Rail Freight Fuel Surcharge Antitrust Litigation. Represents Union Pacific Railroad Company in multidistrict class action litigation alleging price-fixing of freight fuel surcharges in violation of antitrust laws.
- Precision Associates, Inc, et al v. Panalpina World Transport (Holding) Ltd, et al. Howrey represents Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. in class action against freight forwarders alleging a conspiracy to fix prices of freight forwarding services sold in the United States in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act.
- In re Methal Methacrylate (MMA) Antitrust Litigation. Represents Imperial Chemical Industries PLC in multidistrict class action litigation alleging price-fixing in violation of antitrust laws.
