Partner
Rachel Strong is Howrey’s first Pro Bono Partner. Her current practice includes a broad range of pro bono activities, including client advocacy and case management, recruiting, and supervision of volunteer attorneys. Additionally, Ms. Strong is involved in community outreach and the administration of the firm's education partnership with Bancroft Elementary School. Under her direction, Howrey provides volunteer representation to hundreds of individuals and organizations in all of our local offices. Howrey attorneys work on large and small pro bono matters in diverse areas, including child custody and neglect, AIDS/HIV advocacy, political asylum, disability rights, employment discrimination, housing, domestic violence, voting rights, and appellate advocacy.
Ms. Strong also works with Howrey's corporate clients to form partnerships on pro bono matters.
Before becoming the firm’s Pro Bono Partner, Ms. Strong was a lawyer in Howrey’s Commercial Litigation practice group, focusing on trademark infringement.
"A firm’s pro bono practice says something about their culture, their beliefs, and their priorities. Howrey’s longstanding commitment to helping those in our communities who otherwise would not have access to justice sets our firm apart."
