Global Litigation & Technology Nerve Center

Howrey attorneys try approximately 50 cases each year. To take advantage of our scale, improve efficiencies and control costs, we centralized our trial and litigation support resources in one secure, state-of-the-art location, our Global Litigation and Technology Center in Northern Virginia, serving all offices worldwide. This 75,000-square-foot facility is our litigation nerve center and is capable of offering assistance with everything from document management to witness preparation. Our in-house capability allows Howrey to improve efficiency and control costs while producing successful outcomes for our clients. Our experienced litigation services professionals support trial teams, thereby allowing Howrey attorneys to focus their attention on the legal work at hand, not logistics.

Howrey utilizes professionally trained on-site logistical teams that supervise trial sites, war rooms and administrative offices throughout the United States and Europe. These sites typically include full IT and networking capabilities, multimedia services and administrative support for Howrey attorneys and clients. Logistics: Professionals meet with the trial team leads to determine the scope for the event and then establish plans that include securing hotel/housing accommodations, temporary office space, coordinating aspects of litigation/technical support and retaining vendors to assure cost-effective services to our clients. We ensure a professional is available on-site to assure a timely set-up and tear-down of the event. These services allow the trial team to focus solely on their clients and case preparation.
Multimedia: As courts are increasingly accepting of multimedia systems, our skilled multimedia designers assist our trial teams in integrating evidence for the best possible presentation, including various documents, video depositions, photographs and animations. To ensure we deliver results that matter, we only utilize premier trial presentation and deposition management systems.
Trial Technology: Howrey technology professionals meet with our attorneys and clients and prepare for the trial presentation techniques. They prepare electronic exhibits that include the visual imagery to be displayed during an event, evaluate the overall layout of an assigned venue (whether it’s a courtroom, arbitration center, or other space), provide a schematic of the proposed layout of equipment inclusive of a preliminary list, and prepare a cost estimate of equipment/materials deemed necessary to realize a proper setup. We work hard to ensure there’s never a surprise for our trial teams.
