2009 Equal Justice Awards Gala

On Tuesday November 18^th The Hispanic Bar Association of DC (HBA-DC) held its annual Equal Justice Awards Gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. During the gala, the HBA presented its 2008 Equal Justice Awards to notable recipients for their contributions in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. These prestigious awards recognize individuals and organizations who have exemplified outstanding contributions to the Hispanic community in the areas of equality, fairn ness and social justice and who have unwavering commitment and achievement in public service.

The 2008 Hugh A. Johnson, Jr. Memorial Awards was presented to Christina Guerola Sarchio of Howrey LLP and to CentroNia, a non-profit, comprehensive family support organization dedicated to serving infants, toddlers, preschoolers, youth and families, and managing the DC Bilingual Public Charter School.
