Howrey selected as 2008 Best Places to Work by Washington Business JournalWashington DC, July 29, 2008… Howrey’s Washington area offices were recently honored by the Washington Business Journal as one of the “2008 Best Places to Work.” Howrey moved up two places from last year’s rankings to the #7 spot out of 49 other companies named. More than 300 Washington-area companies competed to make it to the list. Ultimately, only seven law firms were selected in any of the categories.

Human Resources Manager Jeff Bauer was on hand to accept the award on Howrey’s behalf. Also in attendance were PR Director, Chris Till, IT Operations Manager John Stright, Human Resources Manager Jenni Frieden, Benefits Administrator Kimberly Isgar, Creative Director Jake Cheney, Network Technician Frank Owusu, and Northern Virginia Office Administrator Danielle Franz.

Chief Human Resources Officer Nancy Anderson, ecstatic about the designation, stated: "The selection is based on the survey feedback from partners and employees as well as a data questionnaire that we were asked to complete." The Washington Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" program was developed to recognize companies in the greater Washington region that have fostered a positive work culture that attracts and retains employees. This was the second consecutive year that Howrey topped the list of home-grown Washington law firms.
