Cutting-edge trial and litigation experience set Howrey’s Environmental practice apart from other environmental law practices. From matters of first impression to complex government enforcement cases to national counsel engagements, companies hire us because we aggressively, and successfully, defend environmental claims and minimize exposure to growing environmental litigation threats. We are leaders in emerging trends, such as climate change law, product defect claims, unfair competition acts and bounty hunter actions brought by environmental plaintiffs. We provide disciplined, early case evaluation that recognizes our clients’ business objectives, and a strategic and focused resolution/litigation approach to achieve them.
We understand how to utilize science in the courtroom, clearly presenting complex technical and scientific information to judges and juries – whether in Daubert proceedings or at trial. Our professionals have worked with the world’s leading experts in fields as diverse as toxicology, epidemiology, neurology, oncology, industrial hygiene, hydrology, chemistry, geochemistry, engineering, warnings, photogrammetry and economics.
